Luis Fabiano's Hat-Trick Powers Brazil to Victory
Brazil earned a much-needed victory on Wednesday, thrashing Portugal 6-2 in a thrilling international friendly.
Luis Fabiano put Brazil ahead with a 25-yard strike, before Portugal's Deco equalized shortly after. However, Brazil took control of the game in the second half, as Kaka scored a stunning free-kick and Luis Fabiano completed his hat-trick with two more goals.
Portugal managed to pull one back through Cristiano Ronaldo, but Dani Alves added a fourth for Brazil, before Portugal's Ricardo Quaresma scored a late consolation.
The win was a much-needed boost for Brazil, after their recent struggles. It will also give them confidence ahead of their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
